About Me
Jeannette Christensen is a Baltimore-based costume designer with notable credits including the Broadway national tour of On Your Feet! (2022-2024), and its world premiere in Spanish at Gala Hispanic Theater (Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Costume Design, 2022). She also designed national tours of Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! (2019), Show Way (2024), and Look Both Ways (2025) with the Kennedy Center TYA. Her regional design work includes Mala and Wolf at the Door (American Players Theatre), Superstitions and The Thanksgiving Play (Oklahoma City Rep), In the Heights and Last Five Years (Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival), Our Verse in Time and Romeo & Juliet (Folger Theatre), and The Brothers Paranormal (Olney Theatre Center). She has worked as an associate designer with The Muny MO, Roundhouse Theatre MD, Wolf Trap Opera VA, and Studio Theatre DC. As a mentor and educator, she has taught at the University of Maryland, University of the Arts, and George Washington University. She holds a BA in Design & Production from ASU, an MFA from the University of Maryland, and an MPS in Business of Art & Design.
